In-Person Worship has been moved on-line!

We will be meeting as a virtual church until further notice. We are following the lead of our state and federal government and their recommendations. Find information about how to worship with us below.

How to Worship Online with Us

Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren will be worshiping as a "virtual church" Sunday, March 15th at 10:40am. We will begin gathering virtually at 10:30am with gathering music and worship will begin at 10:40am.

There are two ways that you can join us.

1) Online: If you would like to join from a computer or smart phone to watch video of the service, you can pull up this link on Sunday morning beginning at 10:30am: https://zoom.us/j/3053866306. (Please email popcob1956@aol.com for the meeting password.) You will be able to see and hear Pastors Tim and Katie, as well as our lay worship leaders. If you have a webcam, we will be able to see you too (but you don't have to use this feature if you don't want to)! You will be able to ask questions or share prayer requests in the chat box.

2) Phone-Call: If you'd like to join through a phone call, you can dial this number on Sunday morning and listen in on worship: 1-929-205-6099. Then you must enter the meeting idea number: 305 386 6306. You will be able to hear Pastors Tim and Katie, and our lay worship leaders. If you have a prayer request that you would like shared, please call or text the pastors prior to 10:30am on Sunday morning.

Offering: Collecting money virtually will be a new challenge for our church. You can mail in your offering or you can give online using Tithe.ly. If you have any questions, feel free to call, text or email the Pastors.

We look forward to having you join us on Sunday morning. We will miss gathering in person, but look forward to worshipping God together.

Intergenerational Worship

Our worship service features a blend of contemporary and traditional worship elements. Leadership is provided by the pastors and lay leaders.

What to expect in Worship

At Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren, worship is central to our life together. We worship in a traditional style with a few contemporary twists thrown in.

Music
Our music is an eclectic blend of hymns and contemporary music. On any given Sunday we may hear organ, piano, and guitar. We have a choir that sings every other Sunday and is open to anyone willing to bring a joyful noise. Our individual musicians and vocalists bless us with their gifts frequently.

Sharing
We are a community with a deep care for one another that is expressed during our Joys and Concerns time. This is a time for folks to share the joys they have, their concerns and sorrows, and celebrations with others in the service. Joys and Concerns are shared by filling out a small card that is read by the pastor during the time of sharing.

Children’s Story & Children’s Church
A Pastor or a lay leader leads the children in a short message about that week’s scripture on their level. It often features props and stories. Children ages 3-12 are invited to join in a lesson on their level taught by two or more lay leaders. The children participate in activities based on that week’s scripture.

A Response Time
A brief response time follows each sermon and these take many forms. Sometimes it might be a question, it might be an action, or it might be a moment of silent reflection. It’s always a time to reflect on the message and tangible takeaways for the week ahead.

A Message
Pastor Katie, Pastor Tim and other congregational leaders share a weekly message grounded in scripture with the purpose of sharing images, stories, and lessons pertinent to our lives.

Creative Elements of Worship
You can expect to see a worship table decorated with images and metaphors that pertain to that week’s scripture message. Scripture is often presented in creative, engaging ways including scripture dramas, scripture litanies, and congregational involvement.
